A new chapter in Chengdu Sky! Wofei Changkong AE200 verification aircraft makes its maiden flight in Rongcheng
On October 12, the AE200 electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL) verification aircraft, a fully self-developed strategic product of Woofer Changkong, completed its first public demonstration flight in Chengdu, showing the stability and progressiveness of the product to on-site leaders and media friends, and also injecting strong power and infinite possibilities into urban air traffic in the future.
A month ago, Chengdu Huaizhou Airport was approved to establish the first stepped low altitude airspace in China. As the first A1 general airport approved by the Western Theater Command Air Force, Southwest Civil Aviation Administration, and Sichuan Provincial People's Government and opened to the outside world, this airspace optimization will maximize the satisfaction of different users' flight needs and provide strong support for the development of low altitude economy in Chengdu.
Following closely behind, Wofei Changkong, based on the latest airspace management model of Huaizhou Airport, strictly followed the standard test flight control procedures while ensuring flight safety, and demonstrated to numerous leaders, guests, and media the entire process of the AE200 validation aircraft's rotor tilt transition flight test from 90 ° to 0 °, and then from 0 ° to 90 °.
This test flight has once again verified the leading position of "Chengdu Intelligent Manufacturing" eVTOL products in the technical field, and also verified the good operability and progressiveness of the stepped and refined low altitude airspace planning mode of Huaizhou Airport, helping the low altitude economic development of Chengdu hand in hand.

It is worth mentioning that on the day before the maiden flight in Chengdu, Wofei Changkong successfully held the 2024 AE200 Model Certification Committee (TCB) annual meeting, and the airworthiness process is steadily and orderly advancing.
In addition, in June of this year, Wofei Changkong's self-developed strategic product AE200 verification aircraft successfully completed a series of flight tests including full-size, full weight, and full package tilt transition, achieving a historic breakthrough and becoming the first eVTOL enterprise in China and the second in the world to complete such test subjects. The product technology and airworthiness progress remain at the forefront of fierce international competition.

In recent years, Chengdu has advanced to become the "third aviation city" in mainland China and is also one of the first pilot areas for coordinated management reform of low altitude airspace in the country. Chengdu has accumulated a lot of resources in policy, talent, innovation, and industrial chain, and has a first mover advantage in the new track of low altitude economy.
As a local low altitude economy "chain leader" enterprise in Chengdu, Wofei Changkong has previously assisted Chengdu in completing the first urban low altitude manned transportation flight, using traditional helicopters to test and open up the operation process of Chengdu's low altitude travel routes. The successful completion of the first public demonstration flight of its eVTOL product AE200 verification aircraft in Chengdu has added a "new scenery" to the city's blue sky and injected confidence into the normalization of low altitude travel operations in the future.

In order to provide peace of mind for citizens and friends in the future, Wofei Changkong will focus on Chengdu's industrial chain resources, work together with relevant departments at all levels, actively carry out low altitude route planning and network layout research, adopt a "step-by-step" operation strategy for low altitude economy, and help Chengdu accelerate the construction of the "Western Low altitude Economy Center", bringing safe, economical, comfortable, and environmentally friendly low altitude travel services into people's daily lives as soon as possible.
